German car maker Audi has unveiled its latest concept Q3 SUV at the Detroit Motor Show, which sports a powerful 310bhp engine.
The concept car, which had not been seen in public prior to this week, is a modified version of the Q3 offroader which has been equipped with Audi's popular 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine.
The car, which Audi has named the Q3 Vail, is set up in a winter sports theme, offers a tweaked body kit with a single-panel radiator grille and slim-line roof rack. The model seen was also shown in a bespoke two-tone paint colour, with Energy Red upper sections and matte grey panelling below the windows.
The most noticeable change to the car's construction will be the engine, which can accelerate from 0mph to 60mph in under 5.2 seconds. It will continue to accelerate up to a top speed of 162mph.
Audi is expected to start rolling out a production version of the Q3 Vail in late 2012.
