Aston Martin is the coolest motoring name in Britain and second only to Apple in the overall list of consumers' favourite brands, a new survey has revealed.

Motorists who drive an Aston Martin, while listening to an iPod and wearing a Rolex are the height of cool, according to theCoolBrands list, with the watchmaker in third place.
The poll of 3,000 consumers and 38 of the most fashionable and in-the-know people in the country have voted more luxury names and fewer everyday brands into this year's list.
The likes of model Daisy Lowe and TV chef Gizzi Erskine have selected Chanel (13th), Prada (14) and Alexander McQueen (19) in the top 20, at the expense of Haagen-Dazs, Ben & Jerry's and Vogue.
Sportswear firm Nike was fourth, followed by Glastonbury, You Tube, Google, Twitter, Virgin Atlantic and Ray-Ban in the top 10. The second most popular car manufacturer in Britain is Mercedes-Benz, in 11th place on the list.
