Fans of the hit TV drama Ashes to Ashes have the chance to get their hands on DCI Gene Hunt's red Audi Quattro unmarked police car, as its owner has put it on the market.
Actors Philip Glenister and Keeley Hawes featured as Hunt and Alex Drake in the famous series set in the 1980s, but for car enthusiasts the 1981 Quattro was the real star of the BBC show.
A prop supply firm bought the car specifically for the last two series and it was seen in all 16 episodes until it is was hit by hundreds of 'bullet holes' and went out in a blaze of glory.
It has been kept in a garage since the series ended and still has the fake bullet holes, missing interior parts and repaired bodywork from the show. It even performed a jump in the final series.
It has been driven less than 100 miles in five years but may need some work if its new owner wants to be sure to avoid abreakdown . Audi Quattros can fetch as much as £20,000 depending on their condition, but the famous example could well fetch a great deal more.
