Kia has delivered a sting to the motoring world with the unveiling of its most aggressive concept car ever.
The GT4 Stinger, which made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, boasts a bold, eye-catching design that is guaranteed to turn heads.
It also pushes the boundaries of performance with a rear-drive 2+2 sports car that places man and machine in harmony on the road or track, taking us back to the glory days of purebred, affordable sports cars.
Under the hood is a tuned version of Kia's proven 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline direct injected four-cylinder engine which puts out an impressive 315 horsepower, while the sculpted "Ignition Yellow" body is a custom chassis with independent double wishbone suspension.
It has a shorter wheelbase and an equal overall length to a cee'd hatchback, a greater width compared to an Optima saloon, and a swooping roofline nearly nine inches lower than a Rio hatchback.
Sadly, there are currently no plans in the pipeline to bring the concept to production. Kia, however, has a history of delivering production vehicles that bear a strong resemblance to the concept that preceded them, so we could be seeing GT4 Stinger-styled cars on our roads in the not-so-distant future.
