Fiat Panda has reached a historic landmark.
The 2,000,000th second series vehicle has rolled off the production line at the Fiat Auto Poland plant.
The Fiat Panda, which was unveiled in 2003, became a runaway success and is marketed in 76 countries worldwide.
With a remarkably spacious interior, exalted seating positions and appealing looks, the Panda range has both petrol and diesel versions with Euro 5 type-approval and alternative engines (methane and LPG).
Front-wheel and four-wheel drive versions are also part of the range.
Having won fans across the globe, including Top Gear's James May, the Panda has donated its platform to the Fiat and Abarth 500s, as well as the new Ford K.
The milestone 2,000,000th vehicle, which was built at Fiat's Tychy plant, is a Panda Cross model, finished in Pasodoble Red and fitted with the ultra-frugal 1.3-litre 75bhp MultiJet diesel engine, which gives more than 65mpg on the combined cycle.
