Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been banned from driving for 12 months and fined £500 after allowing his manager to use his vehicle without insurance.
Doherty, already serving a 18-month ban, was told that the bans would run concurrently, meaning he will not be able to reapply for a licence until the year-and-a-half ruling has ended.
He pleaded guilty to the offence. His earlier ban relates to an incident following a concert, after which Doherty, of Marlborough, Wiltshire, pleaded guilty to careless and drink driving.
The singer's manager, Andrew Boyd, was given a 12-month jail sentence earlier this month for a hit-and-run incident. Ipswich Crown Court heard that Boyd, 42, failed to stop at the scene of an accident after he ran over a pedestrian delivering newspapers. He later pleaded guilty to a string of motoring offences including dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance.
