A drink-driver failed to appear in court for sentencing after being caught travelling at around 100mph just four minutes into 2014.
Omer Karzan, 32, of Ash Street in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, was pulled over by members of the Central Motorway Police Group on the A38 (M), which links the M6 to Birmingham city centre.
Iranian born Karzan failed a breath test after officers had stopped the car valeter's Jaguar S-Type.
He pleaded guilty to drink-driving and careless driving at a special sitting of Birmingham Magistrates' Court on New Year's Day.
Magistrates used an arrest warrant for Karzan after he failed to answer bail on Monday.
The A38(M) has no central reservation and is subject to a variable speed limit, usually set at 50mph.
