A special centenary order, consisting of a Ford vehicle for every year that the carmaker has traded in the UK, has been placed by Glendale, the grounds and countryside management services provider.
The loyal customer, which had plans of placing an order for 97 new Ford vans and pick-ups, later raised the number to 100 to mark the automaker's centenary celebrations in the UK.
Ford dealer Gordons of Bolton is also celebrating its 100 years of service in the UK.
The 100 vehicles ordered are drawn from right across the range, and will include the Fiesta van, the Ranger pick-up, the Transit Connect and the larger Transit.
Stuart Darbyshire, commercial director at Glendale, said: "The relationship between Glendale, Ford and Gordons spans many years and is testament to the quality of the product and the service they provide."
