Association with the RAC is dependent upon our dealers meeting the following criteria:

Trading for a minimum of 12 months

Operate from fixed premises

Registered for VAT, or be FSA registered
To ensure these standards are maintained and adhered to, regular dealer visits are carried out.*

So what do our approved dealers offer?
RAC Approved Dealers
RAC approved dealers are the only dealers who offer RAC BuySure. This package intends to provide added reassurance when buying a used car.
Therefore, when you purchase a car from an RAC approved dealer, you will receive:

A certificate confirming the car has been prepared to the RAC 82-point approved preparation standard

3 months complimentary RAC breakdown cover (roadside, recovery, at home, onward travel membership)

A minimum of 3 months RAC warranty

Accident management cover
All RAC approved dealers are subject to vehicle audits by us every year, to ensure they are preparing their vehicles to RAC vehicle inspection standards.
