* Cashback Offer Terms & Conditions

  1. RAC are offering new customers cashback on RAC products purchased.
  2. The cashback offered will be in the form of an RAC Member Benefits Card (the “Card”) with £20, £50 or £100 e-money (available to spend in participating retailers) which will be made available to new customers purchasing 1, 2 or 3 qualifying products respectively – so when you purchase the first product your Card will be pre-loaded with the £20 cashback. When you purchase a second product, an additional £30 cashback will be added to your Card. An additional £50 cashback will be added if a third product is purchased (the “Cashback Offer”).
Qualifying Products
  1. To qualify for the Card, a prepaid Visa debit card, you must purchase one of the following products: RAC UK Breakdown, RAC Car Insurance, RAC Home Insurance or RAC Motorbike Insurance.
  2. For Breakdown cover you must purchase a standalone policy with a minimum of Personal Based Roadside & Recovery on annual continuous payment. Breakdown cover purchased as an additional product at the same time as a new RAC Car Insurance or RAC Motorbike Insurance policy is only part of the Cashback Offer with a minimum of Roadside & Recovery or above. Breakdown purchased at renewal of an RAC policy or during a breakdown situation will not qualify for this offer.
  3. To qualify for the Cashback Offer a minimum 12 month policy must be purchased.
  4. Quote and purchase must be direct from RAC and for first product between 31 March and 18 June 2014, and any subsequent qualifying products before 31 March 2015.
  5. The Cashback Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and no cash or other alternatives are available. The Cashback Offer is not available to RAC customers amending or renewing an existing product that they already have with the RAC.
  6. The Cashback Offer is not available via price comparison or cash back websites
  7. To receive the Card, and any subsequent cashback, all payments due on all products must be up to date and received in full.
  8. If you cancel your RAC product(s) before you receive your Card you will no longer be entitled to receive it.
  9. All policies must be quoted and purchased through www.rac.co.uk , or by calling 0800 404 6763. RAC Breakdown can also be purchased through a RAC sales agent or RAC Patrol.
  10. The Cashback Offer is subject to customers fulfilling the underwriting criteria for the respective product(s). Full policy terms and conditions apply to each product and will be provided when a product is purchased.
General Terms
  1. The Cashback Offer is fulfilled online and you must therefore provide a valid email address at the time of purchase in order to claim your Card and receive the cashback.
  2. The Cashback Offer is not available to employees of RAC, their immediate families, agents or any other person connected with the promotion.
  3. Only one Card per customer.
  1. RAC reserves the right to vary or amend these terms and conditions or to withdraw the Cashback Offer at any time.
Receiving and Activating the Card
  1. To claim your Card and any cashback amount you must visit www.racbenefitscard.com before your claim deadline which will be 160 days from the date your claim email is issued. The claim email will have your deadline date specified and will contain your username and password which you must use to log in and register.  If you do not claim your cashback amount within the 160 days deadline you will lose your cashback value.
  2. The Card will be posted to your home address within 60 days of registering at www.racbenefitscard.com.
  3. In advance of your Card arriving you will receive your activation instruction email to your registered email address.
  4. In order to be able to use your Card it must be activated and your PIN must be retrieved. You can do this by either going online at www.racbenefitscard.com or by calling 0844 800 6436.
  5. Once in receipt of the Card you shall be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions for its use. For full details of the Card’s terms of use, please request a copy by calling 0844 800 6436 or by visiting www.racbenefitscard.com.

Using the Card

  1. Once the Card is activated the cashback value will be available on the Card to spend at any of the retailers listed at www.racbenefitscard.com.
  2. By reloading and spending at these retailers you have the ability to earn further cashback on purchases from these retailers of between 3% and 15% as listed in the retailer list.
  3. Cashback on purchases will be made available within the first 2 weeks of the month following purchase.
  4. We reserve the right to vary the list of retailers and the cashback rates offered.
  5. The Card cannot be used to make cash withdrawals of any kind, nor can it be used to purchase fuel via a Pay@Pump facility.
  6. The Cardholder can add additional cash to the Card using another debit card registered to the same address as the Card: online at www.racbenefitscard.com. The minimum amount you may top up by is £20.
  7. If the amount of cashback available on the Card is not sufficient to cover your purchase, you will need to pay the difference by other means first (cheque, cash, debit or credit card) and then use the Card. Please note it is down to the individual retailers’ discretion whether they will accept split payments and is outside of the RAC’s control.
  8. The maximum you may top up your Card within any 12 month period will initially be set at £1,900. RAC reserve the right to verify the personal details you provided at the time you purchased your RAC product(s) to be able to offer you a verified higher maximum load limit of £5,000. You will be notified of the outcome of any such check and your higher maximum load limit should be applied to your Card. For full details on minimum and maximum load limits please refer to cardholder terms and conditions which can be found at www.racbenefitscard.com.
  9. It will be necessary to pass some of your data to The Grass Roots Group UK Limited for the purposes of administering the Card, however your data will be kept secure.
Expiry/Termination of the Card
  1. The Card will be valid until the expiration date printed on the front of the Card (36 months from card issue). Please Note: If the Card is not used for 6 consecutive months, subsequently a £2 monthly admin fee will be deducted from any remaining balance on your Card.
  2. If at any point in the future you no longer hold any RAC products, your Card will be cancelled.  The account will be closed and any remaining funds will be paid to you in line with the Card’s terms of use available at www.racbenefitscard.com.
