What does RAC Breakdown Cover include?
What’s included in RAC Breakdown Cover depends on which cover level you choose. We have 3 cover levels to choose from: Basic, Extra and Complete. Here’s what’s included with each:
Basic
Our entry-level ‘Basic’ cover includes Roadside Assistance, which will help you if you break down over ¼ mile from home. We’ll always try to fix you on the spot. But if we can’t, we’ll tow you up to 10 miles. You'll also get 5 callouts per year; with 1 additional callout added for every person or vehicle added.
Extra
As well as Roadside Assistance, our ‘Extra’ cover also includes National Recovery cover. Which means we’ll tow you to any garage or destination in the UK if we can’t fix you on the spot. You'll also get 5 callouts per year; with 1 additional callout added for every person or vehicle added.
Complete
Choose our ‘Complete’ cover that includes National Recovery and At Home. At Home cover means we’ll rescue you if you break down at, or within ¼ mile of your home address. You also get unlimited callouts, for even more peace of mind. Plus get a FREE MOT at selected RAC garages. And with family breakdown cover you’ll get 2 Free MOTs.
If you like, you can choose to add Onward Travel. This means you’re covered for a hire car while your car's being fixed in the garage. So you can carry on, even if your car can't.
