Snap up a cut-price Subaru BRZ

29 Apr 2014 at 12:17

Japanese car firm Subaru is attempting to divert customers' attentions away from more expensive German-made coupes by slashing the price of its BRZ.

The BRZ and its sister car, the Toyota GT86, are aimed at drivers who want to pay less, but still enjoy all the fun of owning a sports coupe.

Next month Subaru is to knock £2,500 off the price of a BRZ, which will widen the difference in cost between it and Subaru's new WRX STI.

Customers can drive off in a SE Lux BRZ from as little as £23,995 and they can have a similar car with an automatic gearbox for £25,495.

Subaru UK's managing director, Paul Tunnicliffe, says the strength of the pound against the yen has brought the prices of many of the manufacturer's models down in recent years and now buyers of the WRX STI and BRZ are the ones to see the benefit.

He said drivers looking for interactive and entertaining high performance cars will find excellent deals on the two models.
