Bright Spark improves Chevvy range

12 Aug 2013 at 09:09

Chevrolet is freshening up its range with various improvements such as a new front-wheel drive Trax powered by a 1.4 turbo petrol engine.

The Trax crossover will do 47.1mpg and emits 139g/km in carbon dioxide. Stop-start capability is included as standard and it will go from 0 to 62mph in 9.5 seconds.

Chevvy's Spark comes with bubble trim and it is a sportier offering with new front bumper and 15-inch white alloys. The bubble theme continues on the front wings and inside with the front console and trim inserts. Bluetooth hands-free connection is available with the Spark's altered instrument cluster and the model also features electronic stability control (ESC).

Parking the Chevrolet Aveo is now easier with its rear view camera and owners also get a MyLink connected radio with touchscreen.

Every body style of the Cruze comes with a choice of four engines and drivers in versions with LTZ trim level benefit from Side Blind Zone Alert to inform them of unseen dangers.

The system is also now available on the Orlando MPV, which also has Advanced Parking Aid that locates suitable spaces and helps the vehicle manoeuvre into them. They can also have the MyLink radio, a 1.4 turbo petrol engine and six-speed automatic gearbox. The new models all come with a year's breakdown cover .
