EventsFuture Car Challenge 2012

For the third consecutive year RAC are proud sponsors of the RAC Future Car Challenge.

The RAC Future Car Challenge is an annual event which takes place on Saturday, 03 November the day before the historic London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

This event is both a challenge and a demonstration of new low-energy motor vehicles and an event that heralds tomorrow’s 21st Century pioneering technology.  Vehicles ranging from Electric to low-emission ICE cars will all be aiming to use the least amount of energy possible on a 63-mile route from Brighton to London.

A fanfare finish

The ceremonial finish of the RAC Future Car Challenge will be in Regent Street, London.  A motor show in its own right Regent Street will celebrate 60 years of British motoring in recognition of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year.  Alongside all the alternative fuelled cars will be a display of 100 pre-1905 veteran cars.

This year’s event is expected to be bigger and better with entertainment, presentations and celebrity appearances promising to give the event a fantastic atmosphere all of which is free of charge for the whole family to enjoy no matter what age.
